About the Role:
We are seeking a QA Tester with a solid understanding of testing methodologies and a good grasp of technical concepts. The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automated testing, with the ability to understand development approaches and technical details to create accurate and effective test scenarios. This role does not require deep programming expertise but does require the ability to work closely with developers and communicate effectively within the team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing to validate functionality, usability, and performance of applications.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using basic programming concepts in JavaScript, SQL, or other relevant tools.
- Understand technical terminology and development processes to create accurate and comprehensive test cases.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure clear and detailed documentation of test results, processes, and issue reports.
- Manage and maintain automated testing frameworks, ensuring optimal test coverage and efficient processes.
- Work with Git for version control and understand basic technical concepts to effectively support the QA process
Required Professional Skills and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with programming concepts (JavaScript and SQL) to support automation testing.
- Experience in both manual and automated testing, with the ability to create relevant test cases based on technical specifications.
- Ability to understand and apply technical terminology and collaborate with developers on resolving issues.
- XPath identification for web automation testing.
- Strong communication skills to document and report on test processes and issues clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and the ability to understand key development and testing workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 508 compliance testing.
- Knowledge of testing tools like Selenium, Katalon, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
