Job Duties Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functional areas: recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, policy implementation, compliance reporting and employment law compliance. 

Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Designs, plans, and implements human resources programs and policies for staffing, compensation, benefits, affirmative action plan, visa/green card processing, employee relations, training, and health and safety.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Manage all compliance reporting such as EEO-1, Vets 4212, AAP, etc. annually and maintain records.
  • Manage the onboarding procedure of new hires (reference and background checks) in a growing organization.
  • Assist in creating employee surveys, exit interviews, and gather necessary feedback.
  • Participate in job analysis and salary benchmarking.
  • Responsible for Training Management and Administration.
  • Responsible for HR Tool maintenance, process improvement and implementation.
  • Facilitate mid-year & yearly performance review process.
  • First point of contact for Management and all other employees for HR related questions.
  • Participate in local & nationwide HR networking events/conferences to stay current of HR laws and procedures.
  • Experience with federal and multi-state payroll regulations & processing including compensation and benefits.
  • Knowledgeable on Payroll tax laws, compensations and benefits.
  • Management experience is a plus, High seniority with management skills is required.
  • Review timesheet posting, labor distribution, and payroll submission.
  • Payroll tax, including filing monthly, quarterly, and yearly payroll tax returns, in addition to Federal and State taxes semimonthly and monthly.
  • Perform other Human Resource & Payroll related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources and Payroll 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or a related field
  • PHR or SHRM certified is a plus
  • Management experience is a plus 
  • Strong skills with excel spreadsheets
  • ADP experience required 
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines,  results-oriented person with ability to understand the need for flexible processes
  • Knowledge of employment laws and practices as well as labor laws and payroll procedures 
  • Good organizational skills
  • nnovative and hands-on personality 
  • Must be a US Citizen or a US Resident
