About the Role:
Dynanet is seeking a?Strategic Data Analytics Lead?to drive data strategy, business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics initiatives across federal modernization and digital transformation efforts. This role combines data architecture, analytics, dashboard development, executive reporting, and data integration responsibilities to transform complex data into actionable insights and decision-support solutions.
The ideal candidate will partner with business stakeholders, program leadership, system owners, and technical teams to define meaningful KPIs, reporting frameworks, and data models that support operational performance, compliance, risk management, and strategic decision-making. This individual will be responsible for analyzing data from multiple sources, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities, recommending new reporting capabilities, and communicating findings in clear business terms to executive stakeholders.
This is not a passive reporting role. The successful candidate will independently investigate data quality issues, develop analytical solutions, architect reporting datasets, support API and data integrations, and continuously evolve dashboards and metrics to meet changing business needs. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical depth, business acumen, and strong communication skills to ensure data is transformed into meaningful and actionable intelligence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and evolution of data models, reporting frameworks, KPI definitions, scorecards, and business intelligence solutions that support operational, compliance, and executive decision-making.
- Analyze structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to identify trends, anomalies, risks, performance gaps, compliance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop executive-ready reports, dashboards, observations, findings, and recommendations that translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Create, maintain, and continuously enhance Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, or similar dashboards, including KPI frameworks, executive scorecards, trend analysis, heat maps, and operational reporting.
- Partner with business stakeholders, program teams, and system owners to understand reporting needs, define success metrics, and identify new analytical opportunities.
- Design and support data integrations across internal and external systems, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and third-party data sources to enrich reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Develop SQL queries, Python/R scripts, and analytical workflows to support data validation, quality assessments, trend analysis, forecasting, and operational reporting.
- Identify data quality issues, reporting gaps, inconsistencies, and process improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Support data governance activities including business definitions, metric dictionaries, lineage documentation, data quality standards, access controls, and reporting documentation.
- Present analytical findings, recommendations, and reporting outcomes to technical teams, program leadership, and executive stakeholders in clear business terms.
Required Professional Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Architecture, Data Strategy, or related analytical role.
- Strong ability to independently assess data, identify meaningful trends and risks, and develop actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Ability to think strategically and connect analytical findings to operational, business, compliance, and organizational objectives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience producing executive briefings, strategic reports, trend narratives, and scorecards.
- Experience working with AWS analytics and data services including S3, RDS, Athena, Glue, Lambda, QuickSight, or related cloud technologies.
- Exposure to AI/ML, LLM evaluation, extraction validation, classification models, or intelligent document processing solutions.
- Experience designing enterprise dashboards, KPI frameworks, operational scorecards, executive reporting, and decision-support analytics.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight, or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Strong SQL skills with experience working across relational databases and analytical data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Python, R, or similar data analysis, automation, and reporting tools.
- Experience designing logical and analytical data models to support reporting, integration, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Experience integrating data from multiple systems using APIs, databases, cloud services, file feeds, or third-party platforms.
Preferred Professional Skills:
- Experience supporting federal, healthcare, telecommunications, public health, emergency response, grants management, or regulatory reporting programs.
- Experience with data governance platforms, metadata management, business glossaries, and reporting standards.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Excel-based reporting environments, government systems, and API-driven integrations.
- Experience identifying opportunities to combine data from multiple sources to generate new business insights and improve decision-making.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Architecture, Data Strategy, or related analytical role.
- Experience working with federal agencies and understanding federal IT policies.
